We found Octavia in a mixed pile of broken chairs and small tables – passed over because she looked beyond saving we guess.<\/p>\n
We fell in love with her turned legs and could see her veneer could become beautiful again.<\/p>\n
To give her a new glow for her twilight years we went for a glorious sunset effect and used Arles by Annie Sloan with burgundy highlights to give a sun-kissed effect then burnished with antique gold.<\/p>\n
Her veneer was stripped back, sanded, finished with four coats of wax buffed to a soft sheen.<\/p>\n
