Description

This beautifully carved Prie-dieu or Prayer chair was broken with the back separating from the seat and broken rear legs, with some blocks of carved scrolling missing from the front legs.

The deep forest green velvet has been over printed by hand using a resist dye technique in a random feather allover pattern.

We have chosen not to hide the repairs  or to replace the missing pieces – we all have our hard-earned wrinkles and scars after all.
