We found Octavia in a mixed pile of broken chairs and small tables – passed over because she looked beyond saving we guess.
We fell in love with her turned legs and could see her veneer could become beautiful again.
To give her a new glow for her twilight years we went for a glorious sunset effect and used Arles by Annie Sloan with burgundy highlights to give a sun-kissed effect then burnished with antique gold.
Her veneer was stripped back, sanded, finished with four coats of wax buffed to a soft sheen.
She would be perfect as a side table by your sofa, a great little catch all for your hallway or even a drinks table. She is very nimble with her castors and so hugely mobile.
